I enjoy reading a range of genres, but prefer dark fiction with a preference for thriller, mystery, horror and gothic.
My book reviews range in variety with a mix of the latest titles and older releases.
Reviews are subjective and every reader's experience is different. We all have varied tastes and perspectives. While reviews can be helpful, the best way to decide is to read the book yourself! Every book has their reader and every story is worth reading!

Lover of the strange and unusual, old book shops, haunted places and bygone eras.
Originally from the Caribbean, Samantha now resides in North West England and writes dark fiction, incorporating varying elements of neo-noir, gothic, mystery and suspense, folklore and horror - sometimes with a retro throwback to bygone eras. She is drawn to telling stories that revolve around antiheroines, femme fatales and the darker side of normal.

Samantha is in the final stages of her debut novel, but her recent focus has been short fiction. New to the submission process, she hopes to find suitable homes to share her short stories.
​
You can find her debut suspense thriller, Tomorrow's News, in the December 2022 Special Holiday edition of the award winning, Strand Magazine.
In January 2023 her short fiction, Moon Over El Cerro was published in the Dangerous Waters: Deadly Women Of The Sea anthology from Brigid's Gate Press. Following that, her Caribbean gothic story, Jacaranda House, was recently released in the gothic horror anthology titled Crimson Bones by Brigid's Gate Press in June 2023.
